Of course I still had another week to study for finals, and then other week to do them... but still!!
This meant that there was only one week left before our study breaks were in the Westchester mall, instead of our school's patio!
We left the Range Rover and directed ourselves to the Starbucks right beside our school.
"Two caramel frappuccinos with fat free milk, two white chocolate mocha frappuccinos also with fat free milk, and a mocha frappuccino with soy milk please."
After making the usual order (which kept changing with the season/situation we were in), we took our cups and made our way into the school yard.
We were all smiles, looking around at our kingdom, which we were about to leave and miss, yet where we had left our mark like no one else ever had.
Sipping on our drink and chatting about the latest Hugo Boss sunglass collection, we didn't even notice the faint voice yelling behind us.
"Miss Block! Miss Block!!"
I immediately recognized the voice, and turned back with the best "I'm innocent" smile I could manage.
"Yes, Principal?"
"I need to see you at my office, now."
"But... it's 5 minutes til my class starts!" Not that I cared, but I really didn't feel like having to deal with her.
"That will be the least of your problems young lady. Follow me!"
Her comment scared me, but, as usual, my acting skills didn't show it. I got up, waved the girl goodbye with a reassuring smile (while they only gave me worried looks back) and followed the Principal, while finishing my drink.
"Miss Block, I'm greatly disappointing in you! You have always been such a good student, a participant pupil and a great influence in this school."
"Well thank you, I try very hard to..."
"Quiet! I'm not done. Since you've always been such a great example to other students, I was not expecting something like this from you, not ever!!"
"But... what did I do? Last time I checked I hadn't done anything wrong! My grades are still up and..."
"Quiet I said! You don't know what you did? So, pouring chocolate milk over a college's hair because of a dumb table is nothing to you?"
What?
"You're speechless now, aren't you? You never thought I'd find out! Well, I did! How many more of these episodes have you been able to hide, Miss Block?"
"I... I... That's a lie! I did no such thing." It was the only think I could think of to defend myself.
"Oh, of course, because the entire 12th grade is lying."
"Excuse me?"
"Yes, Miss Block, there are witnesses. Many of them. Pretty much the entire school was in the cafeteria at the time. I don't understand how you can be shocked that it got to my ears! I thought you'd be smarter than that, Massie."
This was't happening. I was a dream. A bad dream.
That freaking bitch!! She hadn't just tried to take away my crown, she was making herself seem like a victim for it! And now she had the entire grade backing her up? How was this possible!! Those people idolized me! They loved me!
This was simply im-po-ssi-ble!
"I though a lot about this, Miss Block, and I can't have this type of attitudes. I can't tolerate violence and humiliations in my school. So I made a hard and complicated decision."
Oh no...
"I decided to expel you, Miss Block."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I still can't believe that snitch told on me!!
How childish is that??
And how the heck did she get MY followers to back her up?
There's something else going on here...
And EXPULSION?? In that last week of school?
Does that mean I'd have to repeat the whole 12th grade? NO. WAY!
